Road traffic is restricted, Sunday morning, on DN 6, in the area of Domaşnea, Caraş-Severin county, due to snowfall and snow deposited on the road, the Infotraffic Center announces. Simultaneously occurring, snowfall is reported in 14 counties and roads are covered with a layer of snow, while it is indeed raining in the rest of the areas.In Brăila county, piles were formed on several roads.
It’s chaos on the roads due to snow and strong winds. Traffic towards Poiana Brașov, Râșnov and Predeal was blocked for dozens of minutes, during wich the snow removal machines intervened.
There were traffic jams on the road to Rânca as well. Access to the resort from 1,600 meters above sea level was restricted: only drivers with four-wheel drive cars or snow chains were allowed to climb.
Roads were also blocked in Alba and Harghita counties, due to fallen trees. And tens of thousands of people do not have electricity.
