Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a devastating X-linked recessive neuromuscular disorder primarily affecting males, characterized by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. This installment of our series features insights from Oscar Mayer, MD, David Weber, MD, and Carol Wittlieb-Weber, MD, who discuss the pathophysiology and disease progression of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) before exploring the evolving treatment landscape, wiht a specific focus on newer therapeutic agents.
