The text also discusses the unique history of the Wu-Tang Clan’s album, Once Upon a Time in Shaolin.RZA, a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, expressed regret over selling the album, stating in a Rolling Stone interview that he wished it could have remained in his possession. He explained that financial constraints prevented him from buying it back, as it would have cost more than the original selling price due to incurred deficits.

The album was eventually purchased by PleasrDAO,a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). Jamis Johnson, PleasrDAO’s “Chief Pleasing Officer,” explained to Rolling Stone in 2021 that they aimed to return the album to the fans, viewing its initial sale to Shkreli as a negative outcome given his reputation.
