Kyiv Heating Crisis: 1,100 Buildings Without Heat

“Today, the most difficult situation is in the city and region of Kyiv, the city and region of Kharkiv, Sumy region, Poltava region,” the president said on social networks.

The difficult situation also remains in Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkassy regions, Zelenskyi said.

More than 1,100 apartment buildings in Kyiv are still without heating, the president announced.

On Tuesday night, Russia carried out a massive strike on many regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv and Kharkiv, with the aggressor targeting energy facilities again.

As a result of the impact, hundreds of thousands of people were left without heating in their homes on the minus 25 degree island.

Zelensky said on Tuesday that Russia is choosing terror over diplomacy, “and this shows very clearly what is needed from partners and who can help. Timely delivery of missiles to air defense systems and protection of normal life is our priority.”
