Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul said that the Ministry of Social Affairs had carried out automatic reactivation of BPJS Health for Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) for 106 thousand people suffering from catastrophic or chronic diseases. Automatic reactivation occurs today.

“The first one is automatically active, so it has been automatically reactivated. So the more than 106 thousand have been reactivated as of today,” said Gus Ipul at the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs building, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (10/2/2026).

Gus Ipul said the assistance was active for 3 months. After that, the Ministry of Social Affairs will again check the eligibility of the aid recipients.

“Over the next 3 months, we will see if the results meet the requirements. For those who meet the requirements, of course they will receive assistance, but for those who do not meet the requirements, we recommend that they later become independent participants,” he said.

The Ministry of Social Affairs will carry out further checks on aid recipients. Checks will be carried out with BPS using the methods that have been prepared.

“That’s what it’s for ground check “This ensures whether the beneficiaries are in deciles 1 to 5 or above, deciles 6 to 10. This will be confirmed through the methods that have been prepared,” said Gus Ipul.

Previously, Gus Ipul opened an automatic reactivation option for 100 thousand inactive BPJS PBI participants suffering from chronic diseases. Gus Ipul said this policy was implemented so that health services for patients with serious conditions would not stop.

Gus Ipul conveyed this in a meeting with DPR leaders at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (9/2). Gus Ipul said the automatic reactivation targets inactive PBI participants with chronic and catastrophic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, strokeand kidney failure.

“In addition to regular reactivation, the Ministry of Social Affairs has opened the option for automatic reactivation for 100 thousand inactive PBIs who suffer from chronic and catastrophic pain,” said Gus Ipul.
