A 32-year-old man is in custody following the death of a man in south Belfast. Police responded to a report of a concern for safety on Cromwell Road shortly after 1:00 PM on February 12, 2026.
Emergency services transported the individual to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has initiated a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Detective inspector Jack Kelly confirmed the arrest, stating that the 32-year-old man remains in custody as inquiries continue. “We are currently working to establish the full facts of what happened,” DI Kelly stated. “We would appeal to anyone with information to come forward.”
