Sam Darnold thanked the Seahawks for believing in him last season during Seattle’s celebration on Wednesday.
SEATTLE — After the confetti fell on Sam Darnold On Sunday night at Levi’s Stadium following the Seattle Seahawks’ victory in Super Bowl LX, the quarterback thanked his parents, telling them he was only there because of their unwavering faith in him.

He went the last four games without turning the ball over, after leading all players with 20 turnovers during the regular season.
That included four interceptions in the Week 11 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The performance led to one of the indelible moments of Seattle’s season, when Jones fervently supported Darnold after the game, saying, “He’s our quarterback. We’re behind him, and if they have anything to say, frankly, screw them.”
The Seahawks didn’t lose a game after that, winning 10 straight en route to winning the second Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.
