Team USA has already won over 10 medals at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics, and is hoping to secure another when the men’s hockey team steps foot on the ice.
In January, hockey players Jack Hughes, Laila Edwards and Declan Farmer stopped by TODAY to exclusively reveal multiple rosters, including the men’s hockey team.
Hughes, who plays for the New Jersey Devils, made the cut along with his brother and Minnesota Wild star Quinn Hughes. All 25 players on the roster are trying to bring a gold medal home for the first time since 1980 when the “Miracle on Ice” squad proudly stood on the podium. They will be led by New York Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan.
While the women have been competing since last week, the men will begin battling for a medal on Thursday, Feb. 12 when they go against Latvia in a Group C matchup.

Milan Cortina Olympics Men’s Hockey Roster
The Team USA men’s hockey roster features two sets of siblings: Jack and Quinn Hughes and Matthew and Brad Tkachuk. The last time this occurred was when the team competed at the Olympics together was in 1960, when Team USA took home the gold.

When Does the Men’s Hockey Tournament Begin?
The men’s hockey tournament, which will feature NHL players for the first time since the 2014 Sochi Olympics, starts on Feb. 11.
All 12 teams will play three preliminary games. The teams have been split into three groups: Group A, Group B and Group C.
Then, the next round, which is single-elimination, begins Feb. 17 before the gold medal game is held on Feb. 22.
When Does Team USA Men’s Hockey Compete?
Team USA will compete in Group C. The men’s hockey team will face off against Team Latvia on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 3:10 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on USA Network.
Team USA will then go up against Denmark in a second preliminary game airing Saturday, Feb. 14 at 3:10 p.m. ET on USA Network.
The third and final preliminary game will see Team USA battle Germany on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 3:10 p.m. ET on USA Network
All the matchups will be available to stream on Peacock, as well.
