Marlboro, MA – UMass Memorial Medical Centre in Marlboro is set to resume full operations on Thursday at 9 a.m.following a temporary closure due to flooding in the hospital’s boiler room. the flooding, wich occurred Sunday night, necessitated the transfer of patients to other UMass facilities and resulted in a loss of heating throughout the building.
Hospital officials confirmed that heat has been fully restored, allowing them to lift the “Code Black” status. This means the hospital will once again accept ambulance transports and admit inpatient cases.
The incident prompted a significant logistical undertaking to ensure patient safety and continuity of care. UMass Memorial Medical Center extends gratitude to staff and partner facilities for their swift response and cooperation during the disruption.
