Kingdom Come: Deliverance 8 years since its official release, the game has now released an upgraded edition for current-gen consoles. If you’ve been waiting for Henry’s epic journey through medieval Bohemia until the game gets a graphics upgrade, now’s your chance. That’s because Warhorse Studios has released the next-gen edition of Kingdom Come: Deliverance as Shadowdrop.
This upgrade is not a remake or remaster. Gameplay remains unchanged, but instead gets a visual upgrade more in line with what you’d expect from a PC running in Ultra mode. 60fps at 4K resolution, upgraded lighting, shadows, and textures; With everything included, it feels like the time between the first game and the sequel was two to three years at most, rather than seven years.
If you already own the PS4 or Xbox One version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you can upgrade to the next-gen edition for free. If not, you can purchase the Standard or Royal editions of the game and embark on an adventure across the Holy Roman Empire, fighting the Cumans and showing off at least part of Sigmund’s army.
