A 32-year-old man is facing murder charges following the death of a 33-year-old man in Belfast this week. Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) officers responded to a report of a welfare check at a residence on Cromwell road on Wednesday, Febuary 12, 2026, at approximately 1:00 PM.
Upon arrival, emergency services discovered a 33-year-old man who was afterward transported to the hospital by ambulance. Despite medical intervention, the man was pronounced dead.
Following an investigation, a 32-year-old man was arrested and has now been charged with murder. He is scheduled to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on February 14, 2026, to face the charges. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The PSNI has not released the identity of either the victim or the accused at this time, pending notification of next of kin and ongoing legal proceedings.
