Apple F1 Movie Sequel in Development

It was previously rumored that Apple might be making a sequel to its ‘F1: The Movie‘, but now the film’s producer has officially confirmed it.

This information was revealed by film producer Jerry Bruckheimer at the annual Oscars luncheon in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Speaking to media BBC, he said that the team is working on the sequel of the film. Of course, the progress of the project or the constellation of actors who will participate in it are not known at the moment. Maybe the sequel will be without Brad Pitt, who was definitely one of the keys to the film’s success.

It’s no surprise that Apple might be planning a sequel to the film, as it has become the company’s highest-grossing motion picture to date, as well as being the most successful sports film to date. Also worth noting is the fact that Apple will broadcast the F1 race in the US market from next month, step by step strengthening its cooperation with this motor sport.

Last week, Apple revealed the new movies that will be available this year, however, none of them will be shown in theaters, but will be available exclusively on Apple TV streaming platforms. Consequently, the company takes a very serious look at which films are worth releasing in theaters in terms of potential revenue and success or failure.
