Ghislaine Maxwell Email Confirms Authenticity of Photo with Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre

By Daniel Perez, News Editor

A recently released email appears to confirm the authenticity of a photograph depicting Britain’s Prince Andrew with his arm around Virginia Giuffre, a prominent accuser of Jeffrey Epstein. The photograph has been a central point of contention, with Prince Andrew previously questioning its legitimacy and denying allegations of sexual assault made by Giuffre.

The email, dated January 2015, was purportedly sent by Ghislaine Maxwell to Epstein and is labeled “draft statement.” In the message, “G Maxwell” wrote that in 2001, while in London, “[redacted] met a number of friends of mine including Prince Andrew,” and that “a photograph was taken as I imagine she wanted to show it to friends and family.” Details within the email chain indicate the redacted name refers to Giuffre.

This confirmation comes after Giuffre, who died in 2025, had alleged she was sexually assaulted by Prince Andrew on three occasions as a teenager. Prince Andrew has consistently denied these claims and reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre in 2022, which did not include an admission of liability or apology.

Giuffre’s brother, Sky Roberts, stated the email “truly does vindicate Virginia,” adding that she “was not lying this entire time.” He also noted the email corroborates Giuffre’s account of the photograph being taken at Maxwell’s residence.

The email also states that Maxwell was not aware of “anything improper” taking place at her home. However, in a separate email to Epstein, Maxwell indicated a necessitate to distance herself from the situation and mentioned a “massage” involving Prince Andrew at her home.

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for child sex trafficking and related crimes. The newly released documents are part of a larger trove of materials released by the U.S. Department of Justice.
