World of Warcraft: Midnight Launches March 2, 2026, with Early Access Now Available

The next chapter in the Worldsoul Saga, World of Warcraft: Midnight, is set to launch worldwide on March 2, 2026, at 3:00 pm PST.1 Early access is currently live for players who have purchased the Epic Edition, including those who acquired the Collector’s Edition, allowing them to initiate their adventures four days before the official release.1

A New Threat to Azeroth

Midnight centers on the escalating conflict with Xal’atath, the Harbinger, and the Void as they threaten the world of Azeroth.2 Xal’atath’s invasion targets the elven kingdom of Quel’Thalas, specifically Eversong Woods, initiating a large-scale siege aimed at destroying the Sunwell.2

What’s Available in Early Access

Players with early access can level up to 90 and explore reimagined and new zones, including Eversong Woods, Zul’Aman, Harandar, and the Voidstorm.2 Available activities include World Quests, Renown Tracks, Housing and Endeavors, and Delves tiers 1-7.2 Dungeons are too accessible in Normal and Heroic difficulties, and Prey is available in Normal difficulty.2

Dungeon access is tied to the storyline; completing quests in each zone unlocks dungeons progressively. However, all dungeons become available at level 90 regardless of quest completion.2

Introducing Housing

World of Warcraft: Midnight introduces a new housing system, allowing players to create and customize their own homes in Azeroth.1 Players who purchased any edition of the Midnight expansion gained early access to Housing on December 2, 2025.3 Homes can be shared across Warbands and visited cross-faction, with no costs or upkeep required.1

Ongoing Events

The pre-event “Twilight Ascension” remains active until the official launch of the expansion.1

Blizzard aims to prepare players for a significant chapter in World of Warcraft’s history as the conflict between Light and Void intensifies.1
