Horizon League Announces 2026 Valeo #HLSD All-Academic Teams

The Horizon League has announced its 2026 Valeo Swimming and Diving All-Academic Teams, recognizing student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and the pool. Several swimmers from Green Bay, Youngstown State, IU Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and Oakland were honored for their academic achievements during the 2025-26 season.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Horizon League All-Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.00 scale. They must too have completed at least one year at their institution, earning a minimum of 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits, and participate in at least 50% of the team’s competitions.

Mackenzie Barnett of Green Bay achieved a 4.0 GPA while studying Psychology, and placed sixth in the 500 freestyle and ninth in the mile at the Horizon League Championships. Kaleb Lombard, also from Green Bay, maintained a 3.84 GPA in Actuarial Science and finished 16th in the 200 butterfly at the conference meet.
