Free Lanes Update: Revolutionizing Space Exploration

The Free Lanes update introduces substantial improvements to Starfield’s core gameplay systems, focusing on exploration, progression, and player freedom. Key features include:

• Seamless cruise travel between planets within a star system.
• New radiant space encounters during travel.
• Expanded points of interest, dungeons, and outposts.
• A new progression resource called X-Tech, enabling deeper customization options.
• Improvements to ships, Starborn powers, and outpost systems.
• The addition of the Moon Jumper ground vehicle.
• Base improvements.
• New crew members: Muria and a mini-bot.

These changes aim to significantly enhance how players explore the Settled Systems and interact with the game world.

Terran Armada DLC: A New Storyline

Launching alongside the free update, the Terran Armada DLC is Starfield’s second story expansion. It will cost $10, but is included at no additional cost for players who purchased the Premium Edition of Starfield. The DLC introduces a robotic faction, the Terran Armada, bringing a new narrative conflict to the Settled Systems.
