Women in Music Conference and OFUNAM 90th Anniversary Celebrations This Weekend

Mexico City is set to host a vibrant weekend of musical events, celebrating both the ongoing Women in Music Conference and the 90th anniversary of the Orquesta Filarmónica de la UNAM (OFUNAM). The events, spanning March 21st and 22nd, will feature performances, discussions, and an exhibition honoring OFUNAM’s legacy.

Women in Music Conference Highlights

The Women in Music Conference will feature an annotated music session focusing on works by Fanny Mendelssohn and Diana Syrse. Elisa Schemelkes will provide initial commentary, with participation from the Latin American Women’s Quartet.
