Pokémon TCG: New Alternate Art Promos Revealed for ‘Chaos Rising’ Set
Pokémon TCG players are gearing up for the release of the ‘Chaos Rising’ set, and new details have emerged regarding exclusive prerelease promos. Alternate art versions of Crobat and Goodra, originally featured in the Japanese “Ninja Spinner” set, are confirmed to be part of the promotional offerings, initially revealed in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Prerelease Promo Details
Players participating in “Ninja Spinner” tournaments in Hong Kong and Taiwan who achieve three wins will receive a promo pack containing either the alternate art Crobat or Goodra card. These Traditional Chinese-language promos are highly anticipated to also be included as English prerelease promos for the ‘Chaos Rising’ set.
Additional Promos Expected
Alongside Crobat and Goodra, alternate art versions of Ampharos and Delphox, previously revealed in the “Ninja Spinner Value Pack” for Hong Kong and Taiwan, are also expected to be included as prerelease promos.
Release Timeline
The “Ninja Spinner” set launched in Japan on March 13th and will be available in Hong Kong and Taiwan on March 27th. The cards from “Ninja Spinner” will be incorporated into the English ‘Chaos Rising’ set, scheduled for release on May 22nd.

- Delphox (Fire-type, HP 160): Possesses the “Flare Magic” ability, allowing players to discard a Basic [R] Energy card to draw cards until they have seven in hand. Its attack, “Energy Storm,” deals 30 damage for each Energy card attached to all Pokémon in play.
- Ampharos (Lightning-type, HP 160): Features the “Synchronized Pulse” ability, boosting attack damage when hand sizes are equal. Its attack, “Flash Bolt,” deals 140 damage but prevents its use on the following turn.
- Crobat (Darkness-type, HP 130): Equipped with the “Nighttime Maneuvers” ability, enabling players to search their deck for a card and place it on top. Its attack, “Poison Sound Wave,” deals 80 damage and inflicts both Confusion and Poison.
- Goodra (Dragon-type, HP 160): Boasts the “Slimy Slip” ability, potentially preventing opponents from retreating their Active Pokémon. Its attack, “Dragon Pulse,” deals 160 damage while discarding the top card of the player’s deck.
