Recent Career and Injury
Rushe last played for Dublin during the 2022 Leinster Hurling Championship, making a brief appearance off the bench against Westmeath before sustaining an injury.1 He subsequently sat out the 2023 season but never formally announced his retirement, declining previous opportunities to return to the Dublin fold.
New Management and Return
The return appears to be facilitated by the current Dublin manager, Niall Ó Ceallacháin, with whom Rushe played during Na Fianna’s All-Ireland club-winning season in 2023.2
Early Career and Achievements
Rushe began his Dublin hurling career in 2009 under then-manager Anthony Daly. He has achieved significant success with the county, including winning a National Hurling League title in 2011 and a Leinster Senior Hurling Championship title in 2013.1 He has also been recognized with two All-Star awards.
Club Career
