Xiaomi Indonesia has officially released the Redmi Pad 2 4G, marking the first tablet in the Redmi Pad series to support a SIM card slot. This feature allows users to enjoy 4G internet connectivity without relying on Wi-Fi networks.

Designed for Flexibility and Connectivity

The Redmi Pad 2 4G is designed to cater to the increasing demand for flexible devices capable of supporting various digital activities, including streaming, e-reading, and gaming on the proceed. According to Andi Renreng, Marketing Director of Xiaomi Indonesia, consumers are seeking devices that aren’t limited by time or location.

Key Features and Specifications

  • Connectivity: Supports 4G LTE via a MediaTek Cat-13 modem, ensuring stable connections even in high-traffic areas. The modem also features Elevator Mode for quicker signal recovery after leaving areas with poor coverage, and VoLTE for clearer call quality.
  • Display: Equipped with an 11-inch 2.5K resolution screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.
  • Audio: Features four speakers with Dolby Atmos support for an enhanced audio experience.
  • Performance: Powered by a Helio G100-Ultra processor and runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, supporting multitasking.
  • Battery: Boasts a large 9,000mAh battery for extended utilize.
  • Stylus Support: Compatible with the Redmi Smart Pen for drawing and note-taking.

Pricing and Availability

The Redmi Pad 2 4G is available in Indonesia for approximately IDR 2.9 million (approximately $2 million) through Xiaomi’s official sales channels.
