Senior forward Brenen Lorient contributed 15 points, with 11 coming in the second half, including a key 3-pointer that put West Virginia ahead 48-46. Jasper Floyd added 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals, while guard Brenen Lorient’s second-half catalyst role was critical to the victory.
Arizona State (10-9, 1-5 Big 12) struggled to maintain its early momentum, shooting just 38% from the field and turning the ball over 14 times. The Sun Devils’ 56.3% efficiency in second-half possessions was not enough to overcome West Virginia’s balanced attack.
The win improved West Virginia’s record to 13-6 on the season and 4-2 in Big 12 Conference play, marking a significant step forward in their road schedule.
