According to official rally reports, the Sicilian driver piloted a Hankook-shod Skoda Fabia RS fielded by the Phoenix racing stable, treating the tarmac event as a high-speed test session ahead of future Italian Rally Championship commitments. Nucita established an immediate advantage during Friday’s opening stage and steadily extended his lead throughout the weekend.

Podium Battles and Class Winners in Vicenza
Giovanni Trentin and co-driver Pietro Ometto claimed second overall in their Pirelli-equipped Skoda Fabia RS. According to event organizers, Trentin also used the Schio rally as an asphalt test and captured the under-25 drivers’ classification, earning a prize of four Pirelli tires. Manuel Sossella and co-driver Gabriele Falzone rounded out the overall podium in third place, driving another Pirelli-shod Skoda Fabia RS for the local competitor’s second rally outing of the season.
Francesco Pozza and Nicola Rutigliano finished fourth overall after slipping from a provisional third-place standing secured on Friday. Michele Sambugaro and Mauro Cumerlato finished fifth in another Fabia RS, ahead of Matteo Bearzi and Isabel Forgiarini in sixth. In the RC3N group, Leonardo Scalco and Mattia Toffano drove a Renault Clio Rally 3 to a class victory following an aggressive weekend campaign.
Additional Class Victories and Event Conclusion
Ezio Soppa and Mauro Marchiori finished eighth overall in a Skoda Fabia, with Soppa taking top honors in the over-55 driver category. Sharing the exact overall time with Soppa were Edoardo De Antoni and Harsana Ratnayake, who piloted a Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 to victory in the RC4N class. Enrico Molo and Matteo Gambasin completed the top ten in a second Lancia Ypsilon.
Outside the top ten, Massimiliano Meneghetti and Michal Guglielmi guided a Peugeot 106 to nineteenth overall, securing the RC5N class win. Erika Battaglin and Nicole Rossi claimed the women’s classification victory, while Hawk Racing Team topped the team standings ahead of MS Munaretto and Destra4.
The event concluded on schedule with a crowded awards ceremony in Piazza Rossi, attended by local authorities and representatives of the Automobile Club Vicenza. According to event organizers, the rally served as the penultimate round of the Coppa ACI Sport Zone 4 and counted toward the Trofeo Rally ACI Vicenza, drawing praise for the operational work carried out by EMI Events Motorsport Italia and the Automobile Club Vicenza.
