How the Marichka Neural Network Operates
Standard military regulations dictate that a regiment or brigade commander must spend between 6 and 12 hours making operational decisions by reviewing roughly 20 separate documents. According to Yuriy Klyat, the Marichka system reduces this timeline to just a few minutes by centrally collecting data, analyzing the balance of combat capabilities, and proposing courses of action. Developers stress that the artificial intelligence serves an exclusively analytical function, meaning final decisions remain with human commanders.
The system automates core command tasks, including verifying incoming data, calculating force dispositions, forecasting required resources, and estimating potential losses. An interactive map displays the simulated operational situation, and the artificial intelligence updates headquarters promptly if front-line conditions shift.
