Industrial metal outfit Ministry are calling it a day, with Al Jourgensen announcing that a forthcoming album, titled Hate to Go (Take Out or Delivery), will serve as the band’s final album. According to a press statement released by the group, Jourgensen stated that he is "fucking done" and is entirely at peace with ending the decades-long project to focus on other pursuits, such as herding goats. The final album is scheduled for release on October 30 via Clepoatra. A topical, politically charged music video for the track "Burned Out," directed by Joshua Bradford, is also available.
Final Album Details and Classic Lineup Reunion
Most notably, classic lineup member Paul Barker returns to contribute to the album’s closing track, "We’re Still Here."
According to the official tracklist, the album features the following songs:
- Crickets
- Voices of Hate
- Clown Car
- We Hate
- Delete
- Grifter
- The White Man Lied
- Singularity
- Burned Out
- We’re Still Here [ft. Paul Barker]
Reflecting on the band’s trajectory, Jourgensen stated in the press release that he is proud of what Ministry has accomplished. He noted his amazement at the path the project has taken, stretching from their 1983 synth-pop debut With Sympathy to their modern industrial metal sound, acknowledging that while it has been quite a ride, it is officially time to move on.
