Apple Beats Q3 Earnings Expectations on Record iPhone and Mac Sales

Apple posted higher-than-expected quarterly financial results driven by record iPhone sales and robust Mac growth, though shares dipped nearly 4% in extended trading due to services revenue falling slightly short of projections. According to financial data published by Zonebourse.com, the tech giant navigated persistent supply chain constraints during the period while benefiting from a strong product cycle.

Quarterly Revenue and Financial Performance

For the third quarter of its fiscal year, Apple recorded 109.42 milliards de dollars in revenue, marking a 16,4% increase year-over-year that surpassed Wall Street expectations. According to Zonebourse.com, the company’s earnings per share reached 2,02 dollars. This figure included 11 cents derived from tariff refunds, but the underlying profit still exceeded analyst consensus even when excluding that one-time adjustment.

Gross margin reached 50,1%, or 48,1% when excluding the tariff refunds, coming in above market forecasts. Geographic performance showed broad-based gains, highlighted by a 22,4% surge in revenue from the Greater China region.

Hardware Segment Breakdown: iPhone and Mac Surge

Hardware divisions experienced varied momentum. According to Zonebourse.com, iPhone sales climbed 21,7% to reach a third-quarter record of 54,25 milliards de dollars. Mac revenues jumped even faster, rising 28,7% to 10,35 milliards de dollars to beat analyst estimates easily.

During his final earnings presentation before passing leadership to John Ternus, Tim Cook stated that the primary bottleneck involved production capacities for Apple Silicon chips. Cook noted that this constraint particularly impacted the Mac lineup despite exceptionally high customer demand. He attributed the hardware strength to a better-than-expected product cycle driven by consumers and developers adopting Macs to run local artificial intelligence applications.

Conversely, iPad sales declined 5,9% to 6,19 milliards de dollars. Wearables, home, and accessories revenue grew more modestly by 6,5%.

Services Revenue and Supply Chain Pressures

Services revenue grew 12,1% to reach 30,74 milliards, which kept the category slightly below analyst consensus expectations and contributed to the downward pressure on the company’s stock price in after-hours trading.

Apple beats Wall Street expectations with top and bottom line beats, record iPhone revenue

Apple continues to grapple with supply chain tensions, according to executive commentary from the earnings report. These component constraints stem directly from intense global demand for advanced hardware components required to power artificial intelligence infrastructure.
