GEBC Launches New Kids’ Kickboxing Classes in Gourdon

Starting on September 7, 2026, the Gourdon Energie Boxe Club (GEBC) will introduce a dedicated training slot for children aged 4 to 6, offering modified kickboxing classes designed to build coordination and self-control. According to the club, the weekly sessions will run every Wednesday from 14:30 to 15:30 at the Gourdon dojo, supervised by instructors and assistants certified by the Fédération Française de Kickboxing, Muay Thai et Disciplines Associées (FFK).

Program Structure and Early Childhood Development

The specialized Wednesday program uses playful awakening exercises to introduce young children to striking disciplines safely. According to GEBC representatives, modified kickboxing allows participants to explore and refine fundamental motor skills at an early age. The training framework focuses on building spatial awareness, global body coordination, and reflexes through structured play rather than full-contact sparring.

Beyond physical conditioning, the curriculum emphasizes social and behavioral development. Instructors integrate core martial arts values into each session, teaching children mutual respect, emotional regulation, and self-discipline. According to club organizers, these lessons help build self-confidence and establish a positive foundation for youth sports participation.

Registration and Community Access

Families interested in the youth kickboxing program can evaluate the offering in person prior to the autumn term. According to the club’s announcements, GEBC will host an informational booth at the Gourdon sports forum on Sunday, September 6, at the Complexe Sportif de la Poussie, where children can participate in trial activities.

Additional details regarding membership, schedules, and facility rules are available directly through the club’s official resources. According to GEBC contact notices, inquiries can be directed to Alexandra at 06 82 92 10 11 or via the official Gourdon Energie Boxe Club website.
