Überlingen is seeking fresh event formats and community-driven attractions as the city prepares to revamp its seasonal WinterZauber festival starting in 2027. According to the Überlingen Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (ÜMT), organizers launched a formal expression of interest procedure inviting local organizations, businesses, clubs, and independent event planners to submit proposals by October 31, 2026.
The Evolution of WinterZauber Überlingen
The WinterZauber is an established seasonal initiative designed to animate Überlingen’s historic old town from early November through early January. According to municipal planning documents released by the ÜMT, the festival aims to position the northern Lake Constance destination as a vibrant hub for residents, regional day-trippers, and overnight visitors during the off-peak winter months.
Operating on a modular framework, the festival relies on flexible scheduling and decentralized attractions. While the ÜMT retains overarching marketing responsibility and manages core elements, external partners execute individual components independently. Current programming includes open-air winter cinema in the museum garden, wellness yoga sessions inside the municipal plant house, holiday window display competitions, and an 11-day Christmas market hosted on the Hofstatt.
