Samsung P9 USB4 Specs and 8 TB Capacity
The Samsung P9 flagship portable drive utilizes USB4 technology to achieve sequential read speeds up to 4,000 megabytes per second and sequential write speeds up to 3,800 megabytes per second. According to Samsung Electronics specifications, these figures double the performance ceiling of the previous-generation T9 4 TB model, which tops out at 2,000 MB/s using a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface. Tommy Kwon, Vice President and Head of Brand Product Biz Team at Samsung Electronics, stated that the lineup addresses surging demands for rapid data handling driven by high-resolution video and artificial intelligence workloads. The P9 earned a CES Innovation Award 2026 recognition for its performance metrics, which include sustained write speeds capable of supporting direct 12K video recording and massive RAW image manipulation.
Samsung P7 Everyday Storage Features
The Samsung P7 accompanies the flagship release as a versatile USB4 storage option built for general productivity, entertainment, and everyday tasks. According to Samsung Electronics, the P7 maintains broad compatibility across computers, laptops, smartphones, gaming consoles, and digital cameras.
