Manga Arabia is partnering with Zeez Animation to publish a 13-chapter manga series based on the Saudi animated production Al-Saddad Adventures, according to an agreement signed at Manga Arabia’s Riyadh headquarters. The collaboration aims to bring local Saudi characters and stories to broader audiences through a blend of digital and print publishing platforms.

Partnership Details and Platform Expansion

Manga Arabia general manager and editor-in-chief Dr. Essam Bukhary and Zeez Animation CEO Abdulaziz Mohammed Othman signed the formal agreement. Under the terms of the deal, Manga Arabia will roll out 13 chapters adapted from the animated series across its print magazines and digital applications. The initiative seeks to give readers a new format to explore the world and characters of Al-Saddad Adventures while expanding the reach of Saudi intellectual properties.

Manga Arabia’s footprint has grown in recent years. The publisher’s applications have logged more than 13 million downloads across over 190 countries, while printing more than 22 million copies of its magazines. The company operates under a model that bridges digital and print media, introducing multilingual Arab and international content through partnerships with global studios.

Leadership Perspectives on Creative Industries

Dr. Essam Bukhary stated that partnering with Zeez Animation reflects a shared belief in uniting different sectors of the creative industries. Bukhary noted that the collaboration demonstrates Manga Arabia’s capacity to create growth opportunities for local productions. He described Al-Saddad Adventures as a distinctive project possessing a strong local identity and significant expansion potential across multiple content formats.

Abdulaziz Mohammed Othman noted that Zeez Animation has always maintained confidence in the ability of local characters to resonate with modern children, citing the stories of Al-Saddad Adventures as evidence of that connection.

Qasem Swedi, Manga Arabia’s licensing manager, emphasized that the collaboration is designed to support long-term sustainability and intellectual property protection. Swedi stated that adapting the animated series into a manga format will open up greater avenues for distribution, investment, and licensing market growth while safeguarding the creative value and rights of all participating parties.
