According to official announcements following Gamescom 2026 and Opening Night Live, event organizers revealed the winners of the Gamescom award 2026, with major developers CD Projekt Red and Sega securing three trophies each.

Arts Group Category Winners
According to official Gamescom award results, 4A Games and Deep Silver won Best Visuals for Metro 2039. Creative Assembly and Sega earned Best Audio for Alien: Isolation 2, while Capcom secured Best Gameplay with Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
- Most Entertaining: Wanderburg by Randwerk and Sidekick Publishing, according to the official results.
- Most Epic: Tides of Annihilation by Eclipse Glow Games.
- Most Wholesome: Finding Polka by lidlocks and Parco Games.
- Games for Impact: SOKO 1977: Anti-Terror Task Force by Paintbucket Games and the Federal Agency for Civic Education.
Platform Group Highlights
Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios took home Best Microsoft Xbox Game for Forza Horizon 6, according to convention data.

Other platform honorees included Creative Assembly and Sega winning Best PC Game for Total War: Warhammer 40,000. Capcom claimed Best Sony PlayStation Game with Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Ubisoft secured Best Nintendo Switch 2 Game for Rayman Legends Retold, and Everstone Studio alongside NetEase Games won Best Mobile Game for Where Winds Meet.
Global Group and Heart of Gaming Honors
In the Global Group, Sega received the Jury Award for Best Lineup. CD Projekt Red earned Best Booth (Jury Award) for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past, and Gryphline captured Best Booth (Consumer Award) for Arknights: Endfield. Ubisoft Business Lounge claimed Best Business Booth.
CD Projekt Red also dominated merchandise and promotional categories. The studio won Best Merch (Consumer Award) for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past – Pin & Medallion and Best Trailer / Announcement (Consumer Award) for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered & Songs of the Past DLC.
