Don Emiddio Voli has been appointed as the new parish priest of San Nicola di Bari in Cortile and San Martino di Tours in San Martino Secchia, according to an announcement made by the Diocese of Carpi on August 30, 2026. The appointments were communicated to parishioners during Sunday masses by the Archbishop of Carpi, Monsignor Erio Castellucci.
The leadership change follows the resignation of Reverend Don Carlo Truzzi, who reached retirement age limits. Don Truzzi will continue his service in the parishes through the end of September. Don Voli currently serves as the parish priest of San Marino di Carpi and will take on the additional pastoral responsibilities for Cortile and San Martino Secchia.
Transition and Installation Schedule
According to the Diocese of Carpi, Don Voli’s formal entry and the beginning of his pastoral ministry in the parish of Cortile are scheduled for Saturday, October 3, at 7:00 PM.
