Beacon Pointe Advisors has named Katie Cullen as chief growth and integration officer and Sarah Green as chief risk and compliance officer, according to an announcement from the wealth management firm. The additions to the leadership team come as the $63 billion asset-under-management aggregator positions itself for continued expansion toward mega-registered investment advisor status.
Cullen Takes Charge of Growth and M&A Integration
Katie Cullen steps into the role of chief growth and integration officer after departing from BlackRock Business Consulting. In her previous role, she advised financial services executives and growth-focused advisors on strategy and business performance. Her background also includes senior strategy and innovation roles in the RIA industry and at Schwab Advisor Services, alongside an 11-year tenure as a U.S. Army Reserve logistics officer.
According to Beacon Pointe, Cullen will direct efforts across the firm’s practice management, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic integration teams. That operational focus addresses a high-volume deal pipeline. ECHELON Partners’ 2025 RIA M&A Deal Report categorized Beacon Pointe among the most active acquirers in the wealth management sector last year, logging 12 transactions totaling $6.8 billion in acquired assets. Momentum continued into the following year, with Fidelity tracking Beacon Pointe as the second-most active acquirer in the first half of the year with eight deals completed.
Green Joins to Oversee Risk and Compliance
Sarah Green joins the firm as chief risk and compliance officer, bringing regulatory enforcement experience from major financial institutions. Green most recently served as Vanguard’s global head of financial crimes and code of conduct, where she managed programs targeting know-your-customer rules, anti-money-laundering controls, and trade surveillance.
Prior to her work at Vanguard, Green led the dedicated anti-money-laundering examination unit at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and spent time at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) managing broker-dealer examination programs and enforcement matters. Green stated that Beacon Pointe approaches compliance and risk management as foundational pillars for sustainable business growth rather than as loss leaders.
Leadership Transitions and Future Strategy
The executive appointments follow a structural leadership shift at the top of the firm. Matthew Cooper assumed the chief executive officer role in February, succeeding co-founder Shannon Eusey, who transitioned to the role of board chair. According to Cooper, the firm executed a thoughtful and rigorous selection process to fill the new C-suite positions with candidates capable of scaling operations alongside the firm’s rapid expansion.
