According to Detective Senior Sergeant Tofilau Faamanuia Vaaelua of the Counties Manukau Police, a 34-year-old man was taken into custody later that same day.

Authorities recovered several items belonging to the victim during the execution of a search warrant at a nearby residential address. The suspect faces multiple charges, including aggravated robbery and assault with intent to injure, according to court documents filed in the Auckland District Court.
