Stade Toulousain crushed Union Bordeaux-Bègles (UBB) 48-12 in the Top 14 championship clash at Ernest-Wallon. The defending champions bounced back from an opening-round defeat against La Rochelle by scoring eight tries to two, securing a dominant win on home turf.

First-Half Tries Stun Bordeaux-Bègles

The hosts established control early in the first half. Marchand contributed a driving maul try in the 25th minute, followed by tries from Chocobares in the 31st minute and Thomas in the 35th. Marchand added his second try just before halftime, bringing the score to 36-0 at the break.

Second-Half Resurgence Meets Toulouse Defense

Bordeaux-Bègles responded in the second half through Uberti, who crossed the try line in the 52nd minute following a break by Jalibert. Taufa added a second try for the visitors in the 62nd minute from a close-range lineout, and Louis Bielle-Biarrey scored a third in the 67th minute using his speed on the wing. However, Toulouse maintained their advantage with additional tries from Baille in the 45th minute and Colombe in the 80th minute.

Squad Rotation Secures Bonus-Point Victory

Captains and squad members rotated during the second half, with Antoine Dupont leaving the pitch for Toulouse in the 70th minute and Lucu entering for UBB to manage kicking duties.
