The collision unfolded when the driver of the Chevrolet Colorado attempted a left turn to travel westbound on Montana Avenue while the motorcycle approached from the same direction. According to the preliminary police investigation, Saddler swerved sharply to the right in an attempt to avoid a direct impact but ultimately collided with the rear of the pickup truck. The force of the crash threw the driver from the BMW G-310, causing severe internal injuries and trauma.
Emergency medical personnel administered aid at the scene before transporting Saddler to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
