Three Men Charged Over Tallaght Car Theft and Burglary Spree

Officers from the Tallaght Community Engagement and the Serious Crime Unit carried out the interdiction across multiple areas, including Cloonmore Park in Jobstown.

Arrests Made in Cloonmore Park and Surrounding Areas

Officers successfully apprehended and arrested the suspect at the scene. Investigators confirmed that the recovered vehicle had been reported stolen following a recent burglary in the district.

Building on that initial interception, gardaí detained two additional men during the course of the operation.

Detention and Charges Under the Criminal Justice Act

Following their arrests, all three men were transported to a Garda station within the Dublin Metropolitan Region. Law enforcement held the suspects under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, which permits extended questioning for suspected offenses.

Authorities confirmed that all three individuals have since been formally charged with a number of offenses related to the burglary and car theft investigation. The suspects are scheduled to appear before the courts to answer to the charges.
