PNC is hiring a Senior AML Sanctions Analyst within its Real Time Solutions organization to review and investigate escalated Zelle transactions for potential sanctions risks.
Role Requirements and Daily Responsibilities
The Senior AML Sanctions Analyst focuses on screening alerts, entity matching, due diligence, and regulatory compliance for domestic and international wire transactions. Analysts review transactions involving individuals, entities, countries, vessels, and other sanctioned parties to determine whether automated system alerts represent true sanctions matches or false positives.
Daily duties require managing a high-volume, queue-based workflow on a first-in, first-out basis while meeting service-level agreements and maintaining accuracy. Analysts must document investigative findings, rationale, and disposition decisions in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements. Additional responsibilities include escalating complex or high-risk concerns to senior leadership or compliance partners, collaborating with business operations, and supporting audit or regulatory examination requests.
Candidate Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess experience working in a high-volume, queue-based processing environment along with strong analytical, investigative, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Candidates need the ability to compare transaction details with sanctions screening results to separate true matches from false positives. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and compliance-related systems is required.
The position typically requires a university or college degree with a bachelor’s degree, though a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience will be considered. Preferred skills include compliance reporting, customer risk management, regulatory requirements, risk assessments, and internal controls. Prior experience reviewing payment transactions for compliance or risk concerns is listed as a plus. Employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available for this opening.
Location Guidelines and Compensation
While the role is listed as remote, Hirify notes that remote work may be restricted to specific metropolitan markets, including Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; Houston, Texas; Tampa, Florida; Phoenix, Arizona; Denver, Colorado; and Birmingham, Alabama, subject to employer approval. Approved workers must maintain a quiet, secure, and confidential home workspace, and occasional in-office participation may be required.

Compensation ranges from $41,250.00 to $75,625.00 per year in base salary. Benefits include medical, prescription drug coverage with a Health Savings Account feature, dental and vision options, 401(k) matching, pension and stock purchase plans, short- and long-term disability protection, and life insurance. Employees also receive paid time off, up to 11 paid holidays per year, parental leave, dependent care reimbursement accounts, back-up child and elder care, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement, and educational assistance programs.
