The inaugural edition of the “Veneto dei Sapori” festival opens on September 25, 2026, in Piazza XVIII Giugno, bringing together five local Pro Loco organizations to showcase traditional culinary specialties from the territory between the Piave and Sile rivers. The three-day event, running through September 27, offers public food service starting at 7:00 PM daily alongside a lineup of free evening entertainment.
Culinary Offerings From Five Local Pro Loco Groups
Organized in collaboration with the Consorzio Pro Loco “dal Sile al Piave” and the Pro Loco di Musile di Piave as part of the “MusilEstate 2026” series, the festival features distinct traditional dishes from each participating community. According to event organizers, all food items are available for both on-site dining and takeaway.
The Pro Loco di Musile serves meat or vegetable pasticcio, tripe with bread, and apple cake. The Pro Loco di Quarto d’Altino offers “verdon” bean pasta, gnocchi with duck ragù, and biscuits. The Pro Loco di San Donà provides stewed cuttlefish with polenta, sardee in saor, and a dessert named “la zuccotta”. The Pro Loco di Noventa presents sopressa, mushrooms with polenta, and a loaded sandwich known as panino onto. Rounding out the food options, the Pro Loco di Fossalta supplies beer, wine, beverages, and french fries.
Evening Entertainment Schedule and Free Admission
Entertainment begins on Friday, September 25, at 8:30 PM with a performance by Giovanni Giusto titled “Ocio che te conto,” featuring Venetian and Veneto tales, legends, and idioms. On Saturday, September 26, also at 8:30 PM, students from the municipal music school “Monteverdi” take the stage for a public concert. The festival concludes on Sunday evening, September 27, at 8:30 PM with a performance by the “Mi & Ti” trio experience. Admission to all evening events is free of charge.
Organizer Statements and Community Impact
Mayor Silvia Susanna and Events Councilor Luca Rossi emphasized the cultural value of the initiative. «We live in a territory rich in culinary traditions,» Susanna and Rossi stated, noting that the event aims to highlight traditional dishes through synergy among the five participating Pro Loco organizations and their volunteers. Organizers stated they expect high attendance over the weekend to celebrate local food and community identity.
