The killings occurred alongside a separate attack in the village of Dorowa Babuje, where the pastor’s son sustained serious injuries.
Human rights organizations note that thousands of residents have been killed and tens of thousands displaced across Plateau State over the past two decades. The latest casualties follow an incident on a Saturday evening hours prior, when five passersby were killed while walking to work in the region.
