The CARE Lab model divides its clinical workspace into two distinct areas designed to merge advanced technology with patient care. The primary space functions as a high-tech multimedia room featuring colorful park-themed walls and audiovisual equipment.
In this environment, children aged 5 to 11 engage in semi-immersive augmented reality games that target motor and cognitive rehabilitation through interactive play.
Hidden Sensors and Quantitative Metrics
Adjacent to the treatment room sits a separate control and supervision area. Hidden sensors and specialized measurement devices continuously track the patient’s movements during every session.
This infrastructure generates quantitative metrics that therapists use to evaluate progress and tailor subsequent interventions to the specific needs of each child.
Target Diagnoses and Continuous Oversight
The facility focuses on pediatric patients presenting with specific neurological and developmental conditions.
Clinical staff use the platform’s generated indices to maintain continuous oversight of rehabilitation pathways for children diagnosed with bilateral or unilateral cerebral palsy, neurodevelopmental disorders, attention deficits, motor coordination disorders, and learning disabilities.
