Hillsborough High School’s gymnastics team posted a state-leading, season-high team score of 112.175 on Sept. 26, 2026, outdistancing the competition during a nor’easter that disrupted athletic schedules across New Jersey. Led by top all-around performers Erin Gengler, Emily Baum, and Emily Minetti, the Raiders swept the top three spots across every individual event.
Raiders Dominate All-Around and Individual Events
Erin Gengler paced the field in the all-around standings with an impressive 37.375. Teammate Emily Baum captured second place with a 35.950, while Emily Minetti finished third with a 35.325. Hillsborough head coach Nicole Razzano noted the team’s strong performance following the meet, stating that surpassing their previous high score reflects the squad’s hard work, dedication, and consistency.
The individual event rotations saw the Raiders claim every top podium spot:
- Vault: Ashley Womak placed first with a 9.6, followed by Hailey Womak in second with a 9.5 and Minetti in third with a 9.4.
- Uneven Bars: Baum took first with a 9.2, Gengler secured second with a 9.1, and Michelle Prajogo finished third with an 8.775.
- Balance Beam: Ashley Womak led the rotation with a 9.5, Gengler scored a 9.3 for second place, and Baum rounded out the top three with a 9.125.
- Floor Exercise: Gengler earned top honors with a 9.65, Baum placed second with a 9.55, and Minetti finished third with a 9.475.
Team Standings at the Raider Invitational
Hunterdon Central captured second place in the team standings with a 102.850. The Red Devils were led by Paige Brecht, who placed fourth in the all-around with a 34.950, took fifth on the vault with a 9.25, and finished fourth on the beam with an 8.875. Summit claimed third place with a team score of 100.475, paced by Lily Silver, who secured fifth place in both the all-around with a 33.650 and the beam with an 8.85. Sofia Rodrigues and Kayla Charles competed as individual entrants for Franklin on the vault, beam, and floor. East Brunswick and Old Bridge missed the meet due to weather cancellations.

Competition resumes on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, as Hillsborough travels to Montgomery and Hunterdon Central visits Westfield. Summit returns to action earlier, hosting No. 5 ranked Scotch Plains-Fanwood on Monday.
