Actor and racing driver Frankie Muniz secured his second career GT4 America win alongside co-driver Tyler Stone, claiming the Am class victory in Race 2 at Barber Motorsports Park. Driving the No. 30 Ford Mustang for TechSport Racing, Muniz and Stone battled back from a 26th-place overall start to finish 12th overall, executing a decisive pass for the class win with just six minutes remaining on the clock.

Overcoming Early Weekend Adversity
The TechSport Racing duo overcame early weekend adversity at the Alabama circuit to secure the victory. During Friday’s Race 1, Muniz received a penalty after making contact with a competitor while fighting for the race lead.
Learning From Mistakes Under Pressure
Reflecting on the bounce-back performance in Race 2, Muniz told reporters that he learned from the previous day’s mistake. “I was passing for the lead, took out the leader, got penalty and took away a potential win yesterday. I learned from that. You gotta be aggressive… I shoved it in there and it somehow worked, and held on for the win.”
Tyler Stone, competing at his home track, praised the team’s resilience after starting from the rear of the field. “Being at home, sleeping in my own bed, and then coming out to win a GT4 race in SRO is just unbelievable,” Stone said.
Building Momentum at Road America
The Barber Motorsports Park victory marks the second time Muniz and Stone have stood atop the Am class podium this season. The pairing previously earned an emotional win at Road America in late August, where Stone crossed the finish line half a second ahead of the runner-up.
Balancing Sports Cars and NASCAR
While contesting the full GT4 America championship, Muniz balances sports car racing with a heavy stock car schedule. He competes primarily in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, though he stepped aside from a recent Truck race due to scheduling conflicts and made headlines by giving up his seat at a separate event to help teammate Luke Baldwin.
A Return to Professional Racing Roots
Muniz initially launched his professional racing career in the mid-2000s during a three-year stint in the Champ Car Atlantic Series, where his best finish was fourth. In recent years, the Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated star has transitioned fully into stock car and sports car racing, logging starts in ARCA, the NASCAR Truck Series, and the SRO GT4 America series.
