Indonesian police are testing forensic organ samples to determine if a 60-year-old father identified as H was poisoned to death by his 24-year-old son in Gunung Sindur, Bogor, West Java. Gunung Sindur Police Chief AKP Ucup Supriyatna stated that investigators are awaiting laboratory results from the National Police forensic lab in Sentul to confirm the cause of death following an exhumation.
Forensic Testing and Investigation Timeline
Authorities exhumed the victim’s body on September 14, 2026, after initial investigations raised suspicions regarding the circumstances of his death. According to AKP Ucup Supriyatna, forensic examiners collected internal organs—specifically the victim’s intestines and liver—during the exhumation process. The National Police forensic laboratory in Sentul received these samples for toxicological analysis to establish whether poison was administered.
Police anticipate that the laboratory analysis will take between two and three weeks to complete. Ucup noted that investigators have urged the forensic facility to expedite the testing process to maintain momentum in the ongoing criminal inquiry and secure formal statements from the suspect.
Suspect Detention and Alleged Motive
Investigators have arrested one suspect in connection with the case: the victim’s 24-year-old biological son, identified by the initial F. Police state that the suspect allegedly carried out the attack inside the shared family home located in Jampang Village, Gunung Sindur District, on August 26, 2026.
Preliminary findings indicate that the lethal confrontation stemmed from a domestic argument. The suspect reportedly grew angry after the victim reprimanded him for returning home late at night. While investigators currently hold F as a single suspect, Ucup emphasized that law enforcement is examining the case for potential accomplices and exploring how the alleged poisoning was executed.
