Motorola is preparing to enter the wide-format foldable smartphone market with a new device developed under the internal codename Parker and referred to within corporate circles as the RAZR Flex, according to a report by GSMArena. Scheduled for release in mid-December, the foldable phone combines a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with a 6.92-inch internal display and a 5,000 mAh battery.

The RAZR Flex features a 6.92-inch internal foldable OLED display with a resolution of 2364 by 1728 pixels and a 165 Hz refresh rate. On the exterior, the device includes a 4.97-inch screen with a resolution of 1140 by 1736 pixels. When unfolded, the smartphone measures 110 by 149 by 5.8 millimeters. When closed, it measures 110 by 76 by 12.6 millimeters. The device weighs 215 grams and will be available in coriander and dark botanical garden colorways designed by Pantone, as reported by GSMArena.

Under the hood, the Motorola RAZR Flex runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
