A2 Motorway Disruption: Vinkeveen Exit Closed Due to Bomb Threat

The A2 motorway’s Vinkeveen exit, leading from Amsterdam, was temporarily closed on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, following a bomb threat targeting employees of the Zaanstad Judicial Complex, according to reports from NH Nieuws and Hart van Nederland.

Threat Directed at Prison Staff

Police received a threatening phone call indicating the possible placement of explosives under vehicles belonging to staff members at the Zaanstad Judicial Complex, located approximately 40 kilometers away in Westzaan Hart van Nederland. As a precautionary measure, authorities closed the A2 exit at Vinkeveen to conduct vehicle inspections.

Police Investigation and Findings
