DC Comics Unveils Absolute Justice Miniseries for April 2027

DC Comics announced its upcoming April 2027 event titled “Absolute Justice,” a five-issue miniseries uniting the universe’s major heroes, written by Jason Aaron and Juan Ferreyra. Written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Juan Ferreyra, the project follows the commercial momentum of the Absolute Universe line since its initial rollout. The publisher revealed the upcoming crossover during a panel at New York Comic Con on Oct. 9, according to coverage from the comics news site The Beat.

The series will spotlight Absolute Martian Manhunter as the primary narrative hook. Promotional materials displayed at the convention panel indicate that all six mainline Absolute heroes will feature in the miniseries, including Absolute Batman, Absolute Superman, Absolute Wonder Woman, Absolute Flash, and Absolute Green Lantern. DC Comics has not yet disclosed additional plot details beyond the creative team and character lineup.

Creative Lineup and Prior Collaborations

Writer Jason Aaron currently pens “Absolute Superman” and brings industry experience that includes leading the 2018 relaunch of “Avengers” and a multi-year run on Thor, while artist Juan Ferreyra has contributed to various titles across DC and Marvel, including “Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance” and a guest appearance on “Absolute Superman,” and the pair previously collaborated on IDW Publishing’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” series, where Aaron launched the run with issue #1 and Ferreyra joined as an ongoing artist starting with issue #6.

Alongside the upcoming crossover event, current weekly comic releases offer several tie-ins and new story arcs. Current releases include “Teen Titans #2,” “The Doom Patrol #2,” and “Legion of Super-Heroes #2.” Meanwhile, the “Bad Seeds” event continues with “Batman: Bad Seeds – Streets of Gotham #1” and “Batman: Bad Seeds – Gotham Central #2,” ahead of the mainline return of “Detective Comics #1114” scheduled for release on Oct. 21.
