Rising starlet Benjamin Lahdo has completed a move from Hammarby IF to Italian Serie A club Como, marking a meaningful step in the 18-year-old’s burgeoning career. The transfer sees Lahdo join a Como side currently positioned sixth in serie A and coached by former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
Lahdo enjoyed a breakthrough season with Hammarby, quickly establishing himself as a key player for the Stockholm-based club. He will be reunited with former Mjällby goalkeeper Noel Törnqvist at Como.
According to reports from Aftonbladet, Como has paid approximately SEK 130 million (approximately €11.7 million) for Lahdo’s services. This deal positions Lahdo as one of hammarby’s most ample player sales in the club’s history.
The transfer fee is second only to the SEK 160 million received for Bazoumana Touré when he moved to Hoffenheim just over a year ago, highlighting Hammarby’s growing reputation for developing and exporting talented players.
