Utica University Takes Early Four-Goal Lead
Utica controlled the opening two periods of the matchup at Adrian, Michigan. The visiting squad grabbed a 1-0 edge during the first period before adding three more goals in the second frame. That offensive surge handed Utica a commanding 4-0 advantage heading into the final 20 minutes of regulation.
Adrian College Mounts Third-Period Comeback
The Bulldogs started their rally when Joshua Wiebe capitalized on a 5-on-3 power play to put Adrian on the scoreboard. Lucas Busch followed with another goal later in the period, and Jacob Badal cut the deficit to one with under nine minutes remaining on the game clock.
With time running out, Adrian pulled its goaltender to deploy an extra attacker. The strategy paid off with just 1:10 left in regulation when Jack O’Hanisain scored the game-tying goal, assisted by Frank Tafelski and Badal, capping the four-goal surge to make it 4-4.

Adrian dominated the overall shot count, finishing the afternoon with a 47-20 advantage in shots on goal. Tafelski paced the Bulldogs’ offense with three assists. In the crease, Jaiden Sharma stopped 12 shots, while Dylan Eliason recorded four saves.
