Adriano Celentano Faces Paternity Claim by Man Alleging to be His Secret Son

Rome, Italy – Italian singer and actor Adriano Celentano, 87, is facing a renewed paternity claim from Antonio Maria Segatori, 55, who asserts he is Celentano’s secret son. Segatori is seeking legal recognition of his paternity and the right to officially adopt the Celentano surname.

The Claim and Its History

Segatori’s claim centers around a relationship his mother, Maria Luigia Biscardi, allegedly had with Celentano in 1969. According to Segatori, his mother joined the Celentano Clan, a group of performers associated with Celentano, after presenting herself as Brenda Bis at the Cantagiro music festival. She became pregnant later that year, attributing the pregnancy to Celentano.

Biscardi initially pursued legal recognition of paternity in 1975, filing an appeal with the Rome court. However, the proceedings were dismissed due to her failure to appear. Celentano publicly dismissed the claim at the time, referring to Biscardi as “a crazy person” and denying the allegations.

Renewed Legal Action

Segatori, represented by lawyers Manuela Maccaroni and Pierpaolo Salinetti, has filed a novel appeal for judicial declaration of paternity with the Civil Court of Milan. The appeal requests the court to consider biological testing, including DNA analysis, to establish paternity.

Segatori has stated that his motivation is not financial gain, but rather a desire to know his father and have his biological lineage legally recognized. “I just want to know who my father is. I have the right,” he reportedly said.

Adriano Celentano’s Current Status

Adriano Celentano, a cultural icon in Italy, rarely appears in public and maintains a private lifestyle. Recent photos reveal the 87-year-classic actor and singer looking well, though showing signs of aging. He continues to enjoy a quiet life, reportedly residing on an island near Lake Como with his wife, Claudia Mori, with whom he has been married for over 60 years. He has three children, including Rosita and Giacomo.

Celentano’s villa includes a park, a pool, a tennis court, and a recording studio.

Celentano has sold over 150 million records and starred in 40 films throughout his career. While he retired from acting in 1992, he continued to release music, with his latest album appearing in 2019.
