Aichach – The Herren 40 team of TCW (Tennisclub Wittelsbach) have been crowned champions of the Südliga 3, with the U12 team achieving similar success in their league.

Dominant Season for Herren 40

The TCW Herren 40 team entered the season with a clear objective: to win as many matches as possible and ultimately secure the championship. A strong start with an initial home victory laid the foundation for a successful season. A minor setback occurred in Kaisheim, but the team quickly recovered, winning against VFB Oberdorf.

A close competition developed with VFB Oberndorf for the top spot throughout the season. The decisive matches for TCW were against Marxheim II and Buttenwiesen on the final matchday.

During the match against Marxheim II, TCW’s number one player, Peter Thurner, sustained an injury during the singles match. Despite the injury, he persevered and secured a crucial point for the team.
